Elegant modern alabaster chandelier

The Freyza Edit — Buyer's Guide

Best Chandeliers for 2026

Crystal, alabaster, minimalist, industrial — six chandeliers we actually stock, reviewed honestly, with the sizing rules that matter more than the style you pick.

6 Chandeliers Reviewed $255 – $1,265 Updated May 2026

A chandelier does more than light a room — it sets the tone before anyone's even noticed the furniture. The right one anchors a dining table or gives a plain bedroom that hotel-suite finish. The wrong one is just an expensive way to make a ceiling look busy. We went through what's actually in Freyza's collection right now and picked six worth your wall space, reviewed by style, room fit, and whether the price matches what you're getting.

There's a full buying guide at the bottom covering ceiling height rules, how to size a chandelier over a dining table, and how to mix styles without it looking like an accident.

Brigitte black crystal chandelier with multi-tiered drops

Crystal Chandelier

Brigitte — Best Crystal Chandelier

$254.99

$339.99

This is the piece customers ask about most, and it's not a mystery why. A black chrome frame carrying multi-tiered crystal drops looks like something twice the price — the kind of silhouette that photographs well from any angle. Black sounds like a bold choice on paper, but in a room it's oddly neutral: it sits comfortably against white, grey, navy, or warm wood without a fight.

  • Best for: dining rooms, master bedrooms, entryways
  • Frame: black chrome, multi-tiered crystal drop
  • Why it works: compact enough for rooms where a larger fixture would overwhelm

SakhraStone round alabaster chandelier with natural stone diffuser

Alabaster Chandelier — Most Popular

SakhraStone — Best Alabaster Chandelier

$1,264.99

Natural alabaster stone doesn't just shade a bulb, it changes the character of the light entirely — warm, absorbed, almost candlelit, even running an ordinary LED. Where crystal throws light outward in shards, alabaster pulls it inward and softens it. Each shade is hand-finished, so the grain varies slightly piece to piece; no two are quite identical.

  • Best for: dining rooms and master bedrooms wanting luxury without spectacle
  • Material: hand-finished natural alabaster stone, round profile
  • Note: our highest-priced piece — the material cost is the reason why

Abbott linear minimalist chandelier over dining table

Minimalist Chandelier

Abbott — Best Chandelier for Modern Homes

$495.00

If your space is modern, Scandi, or just allergic to ornate, the Abbott is the obvious move — a clean linear bar with a simple hanging profile, no crystal, no fuss. The matte finish is doing quiet work too: it doesn't show fingerprints or water spotting the way a polished fixture eventually will, which matters more than people expect over a few years.

  • Best for: long dining tables and kitchen islands
  • Profile: linear bar, matte finish, no crystal
  • Also works: living rooms and open-plan spaces needing structure, not spectacle

Aevuvix mid-century bubble glass chandelier with polished brass arms

Mid-Century Chandelier

Aevuvix — Best Mid-Century Chandelier

$258.69

Six frosted bubble glass globes on a polished brass arm, looking like it walked straight out of a 1960s catalogue — and at this price, one of the strongest value mid-century pieces we carry. The frosted glass diffuses rather than spotlights, so rooms get a soft, relaxed ambient glow instead of hard pools of light.

  • Best for: dining rooms, living rooms, larger bathrooms
  • Build: 6× frosted bubble glass globes, polished brass arm
  • Pairs well with: warm timber floors, terracotta, olive or mustard tones

Aballs sculptural glass sphere chandelier cluster

Sculptural Chandelier

Aballs — Best Sculptural Glass Chandelier

$565.00

Inspired by the Jaime Hayon design, the Aballs clusters opal glass spheres at varying drop heights into something closer to a sculptural cloud than a conventional fixture. It's the rare piece that works equally well in a minimalist white loft and a richly furnished dining room, because the form itself carries the room without needing to compete with anything else in it.

  • Best for: living rooms, open foyers, double-height dining spaces
  • Design: clustered opal glass spheres, staggered drop heights
  • Light quality: diffused, even, no harsh shadows

Acariel vintage industrial cage chandelier with exposed filament bulbs

Industrial Chandelier

Acariel — Best Industrial Chandelier

$800.00

Raw metal, exposed filament bulbs, a cage-style frame pulled straight from industrial loft design. It suits open-plan kitchens, dining rooms with exposed brick or concrete, and commercial spaces like bars where "unfinished" is the point rather than an accident. It's also unusually well-built for the category — solid metal, chip-resistant finish, no wobble in the frame even after a few years of use.

  • Best for: industrial, raw, or eclectic interiors
  • Build: solid metal cage frame, exposed filament sockets
  • Pairs well with: Edison-style LED bulbs for the full effect

Best Chandelier by Room

Dining Room

Size the chandelier 12 inches narrower than the table on each side, and hang it 30–34 inches above the tabletop. Our picks: Brigitte for drama, SakhraStone for luxury, Abbott for a long table.

Bedroom

Bedrooms want softer, more diffused light. SakhraStone's alabaster glow is close to ideal for a master bedroom. Brigitte's crystal adds glamour without harshness once you put it on a dimmer.

Living Room

Living rooms benefit from a chandelier that doubles as sculpture. Aballs' glass cluster suits high ceilings well. Aevuvix's mid-century form works better in lower-ceilinged open-plan spaces.

Kitchen / Open-Plan

Over an island or peninsula, Abbott's linear profile is purpose-built for the job. For open-plan kitchens with a rustic or industrial lean, Acariel's cage form adds character without trying too hard.

How to Choose a Chandelier: Buyer's Guide

Ceiling Height

Standard ceilings (8–9ft): keep the bottom of the chandelier at least 7ft from the floor. For every foot of ceiling above 8ft, add roughly 3 inches to the drop. Double-height spaces can take much larger, longer fixtures without feeling crowded.

Room Size & Diameter

Add the room's length and width in feet — the sum in inches is roughly the right chandelier diameter. A 12×14ft room suits a 26-inch fixture. For open-plan spaces, size to the conversation area, not the whole footprint.

Over a Dining Table

Hang 30–34 inches above the tabletop on a standard 8ft ceiling, adding 3 inches per additional foot of height. Keep the chandelier diameter 12 inches narrower than the table on each side — a 60-inch table suits up to a 36-inch fixture.

Mixing Styles

You don't have to match exactly — contrast often works better. A crystal chandelier in an otherwise minimal room reads as deliberate drama. An industrial cage piece in a traditional room adds an edge. The only rule that matters: if it looks intentional, it works.
