Glass stays clearer over time — acrylic can yellow slightly under years of heat. It also gives the fixture a more substantial feel.
How bright is 12W in practice?
It's meaningfully brighter than the 5-6W decorative sconces. In a hallway or by a bed it can work as the main light source rather than just an accent.
Can it be used on a balcony?
The aluminium body is rust-proof, so sheltered balconies are fine. For fully exposed positions we'd suggest one of our IP65-rated outdoor fixtures instead.
