Best Chandeliers for 2026: Crystal, Alabaster & More β€” Buyer's Guide

The Freyza Edit β€” Buyer's Guide

Best Chandeliers for 2026

Crystal, alabaster, minimalist, industrial β€” every chandelier we stock reviewed and ranked, with sizing advice and room-by-room picks.

βœ“ 6 Chandeliers Reviewed βœ“ $255 – $1,265 βœ“ Updated May 2026

A chandelier does more than light a room β€” it sets the entire tone. The right one anchors a dining table, makes a foyer feel grand, or gives a bedroom that hotel-suite finish. The wrong one is just a very expensive mistake. This guide covers every chandelier in Freyza's current collection, reviewed by style, room suitability, and value β€” so you can find the right fit without the scroll fatigue.

We've included a full buying guide at the bottom covering ceiling height rules, how to size a chandelier for a dining table, and how to mix styles without it looking accidental.

Brigitte black crystal chandelier with multi-tiered drops

Crystal Chandelier

Brigitte β€” Best Crystal Chandelier

$254.99

$339.99

The Brigitte is the most asked-about piece in our collection β€” and it's easy to see why. A black chrome frame with multi-tiered crystal drops gives it a silhouette that photographs beautifully and looks like a $1,000 fixture at a quarter of the price. The black finish is more versatile than it sounds: it works with white, grey, navy, and warm wood tones equally well.

Best for: dining rooms, master bedrooms, and entryways. If you want a crystal chandelier that makes a statement without dominating the room, this is the one. The compact frame also makes it workable in rooms where a large fixture would feel overwhelming.

SakhraStone round alabaster chandelier with natural stone diffuser

Alabaster Chandelier β€” Most Popular

SakhraStone β€” Best Alabaster Chandelier

$1,264.99

Natural alabaster stone diffuses light with a warm, organic glow that no glass or plastic shade can replicate. Where a crystal chandelier throws light outward in shards and sparkle, the SakhraStone absorbs and softens it β€” giving rooms a candlelit warmth even with modern LED bulbs. Each shade is hand-finished, so there are slight natural variations in the stone grain that make every piece unique.

Best for: dining rooms and master bedrooms where you want luxury without spectacle. The round profile works particularly well over circular dining tables or as a centrepiece in an open-plan kitchen-diner. If you're building a room around a single fixture, this is it.

Abbott linear minimalist chandelier over dining table

Minimalist Chandelier

Abbott β€” Best Chandelier for Modern Homes

$495.00

If your space is modern, Scandi, or just not a fan of ornate β€” the Abbott is the move. A clean linear bar with a simple sculptural hanging profile. No crystal drops, no fuss β€” just clean geometry that lets the quality of the materials speak. The matte finish holds its look over time and doesn't show fingerprints or water marks the way polished fixtures do.

Best for: long dining tables and kitchen islands β€” the linear profile is designed for exactly this application. Also works well in living rooms and open-plan spaces where you want lighting that adds structure without becoming the focal point.

Aevuvix mid-century bubble glass chandelier with polished brass arms

Mid-Century Chandelier

Aevuvix β€” Best Mid-Century Chandelier

$258.69

Six frosted bubble glass globes on a polished brass arm β€” it looks lifted straight from a 1960s design catalogue, and at this price it's one of the best value mid-century chandeliers available. The frosted glass diffuses light evenly rather than spotlighting, giving rooms a soft, flattering ambient glow that feels relaxed and warm.

Best for: dining rooms, living rooms, and larger bathrooms. The polished brass holds up well in humid environments, so it's a solid choice for powder rooms or en-suites with high ceilings. Pairs well with warm timber flooring, terracotta tiles, and olive or mustard tones.

Aballs sculptural glass sphere chandelier cluster

Sculptural Chandelier

Aballs β€” Best Sculptural Glass Chandelier

$565.00

Inspired by the Jaime Hayon design, the Aballs clusters multiple opal glass spheres at varying drop heights to create what looks like a sculptural cloud of light. It's one of those pieces that works in almost any interior β€” as well in a minimalist white loft as it does in a richly furnished dining room β€” because the form is interesting enough to carry the room without competing with it.

Best for: living rooms, open foyers, and double-height dining spaces. The clustered drop design is particularly effective in rooms with high ceilings where a single-tier fixture would look lost. The diffused opal glass produces no harsh shadows β€” just even, warm light that fills the space from multiple angles.

Acariel vintage industrial cage chandelier with exposed filament bulbs

Industrial Chandelier

Acariel β€” Best Industrial Chandelier

$800.00

Raw metal, exposed filament bulbs, and a cage-style frame that pulls directly from industrial loft design. The Acariel suits open-plan kitchens, dining rooms with exposed brick or concrete, and commercial spaces like bars or restaurants. At this price it's unusually well-built β€” solid metal construction with a chip-resistant finish and no wobble in the frame.

Best for: homes with industrial, raw, or eclectic interiors. Also works as a deliberate contrast piece β€” a cage chandelier in an otherwise traditional room adds an edge that feels intentional rather than accidental. Pair with Edison-style LED bulbs for the full effect.

Best Chandelier by Room

Dining Room

For dining rooms, choose a chandelier that's 12 inches narrower than the table on each side, hung 30–34 inches above the tabletop. Our picks: Brigitte for drama, SakhraStone for luxury, Abbott for a long table.

Bedroom

Bedrooms suit softer, more diffused light. The SakhraStone alabaster glow is ideal for a master bedroom. The Brigitte crystal adds glamour without being harsh if you use a dimmer switch.

Living Room

Living rooms benefit from a chandelier that doubles as sculpture. The Aballs glass cluster is ideal for high ceilings. The Aevuvix mid-century design works well in lower-ceilinged open-plan spaces.

Kitchen / Open-Plan

Over an island or peninsula, the Abbott linear profile is purpose-built. For open-plan kitchens with a rustic or industrial feel, the Acariel cage chandelier adds character without pretension.

How to Choose a Chandelier: Buyer's Guide

Ceiling Height

Standard ceilings (8–9ft): keep the bottom of the chandelier at least 7ft from the floor. For every foot of ceiling above 8ft, you can add 3 inches to the drop. Double-height spaces can handle much larger, longer fixtures without feeling crowded.

Room Size & Diameter

Add the room's length and width in feet β€” the sum in inches is roughly the right chandelier diameter. A 12Γ—14ft room suits a 26-inch fixture. For open-plan spaces, size to the conversation area, not the entire room.

Over a Dining Table

Hang 30–34 inches above the tabletop for standard 8ft ceilings, and add 3 inches for each additional foot of ceiling height. The chandelier diameter should be 12 inches narrower than the table on each side β€” a 60-inch table suits up to a 36-inch fixture.

Mixing Styles

You don't have to match exactly β€” contrast often works better. A crystal chandelier in an otherwise minimal space creates intentional drama. An industrial cage piece in a traditional room adds an edge. The rule is intentionality: if it looks deliberate, it works.
